School Psychological Services

Services provided to students referred for assessment of a "handicapping" condition in accordance with R340.1702 of the Revised Administrative Rules for Special Education.

Key Components Include...

  • Provide consultation to students, parents, educational staff, physicians, etc.
  • Evaluate students that have been referred to them.
  • Coordinate and actively participate as a member on the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) and IEPC meetings.
  • Interpret psychological assessments and make recommendations to school personnel, parents, and outside agencies (if appropriate).
  • May participate in individual and/or group intervention.
  • Develop behavior plans and intervention plans for specific students with parents and educational staff.
  • Prepare appropriate documentation relative to the needs of students, parents, educational staff, and others as needed.
  • Attend and participate in meetings, in-service trainings, and professional development activities.
