This is a program that begins with students taking an off-level test through the NUMATS registration process. Students register to participate in either an ACT or a SAT test to determine their academic knowledge and problem-solving ability compared both with other fifth-eighth graders in an eight-state area and high school juniors and seniors in the same area. Parents of participants in the NUMATS program receive a report that includes curricular implications that correlate to their child's performance.
For more information about the NUMATS program, go to Northwestern University's Midwest Academic Talent Search website
