These are programs open to Eaton County students and coordinated through Ingham ISD.

Northwestern University Midwest Academic Talent Search (NUMATS)

This is a program that begins with students taking an off-level test through the NUMATS registration process. Students register to participate in either an ACT or a SAT test to determine their academic knowledge and problem-solving ability compared both with other fifth-eighth graders in an eight-state area and high school juniors and seniors in the same area. Parents of participants in the NUMATS program receive a report that includes curricular implications that correlate to their child's performance.

Registration deadlines begin in the fall and sometimes continue well into December.

Programs at the Gifted and Talented Education office of Michigan State University

The office of Gifted and Talented Education at Michigan State University offers many programs for academically and otherwise talented student. See a list of available programs at this website.

Eaton ISD supports the participation in CHAMP and ISHALL. CHAMP is an academically accelerated mathematics program for 9-12 grade credit.  ISHALL is an accelerated reading and writing program for 9-12 grade credit.

Girls Math/Science Conference

A half-day program held annually in February designed to expose 6th Grade female students to adult role models in careers utilizing math/science. There are hands-on discovery sessions for students and special topics for parents. The day ends with a closing session for all participants.
