Community Programs

 Community Programs

It is the responsibility of Eaton Intermediate School District to help our school districts and community agencies achieve their educational goals.  We provide leadership, resources, and coordination to meet the evolving needs of these organizations.  Eaton Intermediate School District serves community members from birth, through our early childhood programs, to adults, through our Capital Area Michigan Works! Service Center.

Capital Area Michigan Works!

The Charlotte Capital Area Michigan Works! Service Center, located in Charlotte, Michigan, provides employment and training services to both job seekers and employers.

Eaton Great Start

As a partner is Eaton County's Great Start Collaborative, we work to insure that every child in Eaton County enters school optimally prepared to learn and grow to the best of his/her ability.  Agencies, parents, caregivers, and the community commit to providing a supportive environment characterized by respect and by the provision of accessible and coordinated services.

The Green Team

Our district recycling efforts are coordinated by a group of volunteers who make up the district's "Green Team." Our goal is to increase the number of individuals who recycle, increase the number of items we recycle, and to increase our overall volume of recycling, and become a "model" organization when it comes to caring for our environment.

Prevention Program Services

Through coordinated services, school and community collaboration, and innovation, Prevention Program Services (PPS) takes a leadership role in linking resources that promote safe and healthy schools and communities. Our PPS mission is to provide quality services that promote health, increase protective factors, and prevent risk. Our service area includes the schools and communities of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham Counties in the capital area of mid-Michigan.
